  1. Love the top rose especially! I think I read you are half way new to breeding them. You are right on track. Congratulations!

  2. I adore those stripes! Need anyone to test them out for you in SoCal? :-)

  3. Thanks Aprille. I am working on making cutting for them now but I dont think I will be sending them out for testing any time soon. I am making them for breeding purposes. I need to breed disease resistance into them so they will be a carefree plant. I will keep you in mind for future testing though.
    Take care

  4. Hi Dave--I just discovered your blog. All I can say about your roses is AMAZING! Love all the variations on the striped roses--especially the dark ones. Hope some of these will make the jump to commercial so I can buy some one of these days. Beautiful and unique!

  5. Thanks Sally. Each year I get a couple new nice striped roses and each year those provide me with breeding material to get even more new variations. The ultimate ends will be to get some really dark roses with red, pink, white, orange, or yellow stripes and disease free. I am testing with Star roses so keep your fingers crossed.

  6. I hope you are successful with Star, Dave, but if not, don't give up on finding some way to release these to rose lovers. Your roses are so different, and fill a niche for those of us who not only love beauty, but need roses for a hot climate. Best wishes!!
